Meg is working towards becoming a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor. She is passionate about helping individuals identify and overcome barriers and breakthrough destructive cycles in their life by helping them to reconnect with themselves. She works alongside individuals to not only help them to rebuild their lives but to recreate theirs lives. Meg’s approach to counseling integrates techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. She also practices and incorporates mindfulness techniques and meditation and highlights the importance of the mind/body connection.

In her personal time, Meg enjoys spending time with her family and friends, listening/dancing it out to music, laughing as much as possible, spending time outdoors, rock climbing, and taking time to slow down and connect with the universe.

As I journey through recovery, more and more I learn that accepting myself and my idiosyncrasies- laughing at myself for my ways- gets me a lot further than picking on myself and trying to make myself perfect. Maybe that’s really what it’s all about- absolute loving, joyous, nurturing self-acceptance” - Melodie Beattie, “The Language of Letting Go”
